Hello friends

Time to start sowing milkweed seeds.  I'm a bit late, but like they say 'better late then never'.
This will be my first time to grow indoors. I do not have lights (yet). Perhaps with only the heating mats I may be able to get by. We'll see.

This is the only window with morning sunlight...all I can do is try.
Now the pups have lost their window seat, but it's a temporary situation.
I have lots of seeds to start with.
Milkweed: Swamp (Asclepias incarnata), Orange Butterfly weed (Asclepias tuberosa), Tropical (Asclepias curassavica) and Balloon aka Hairy Balls (Gomphocarpus physocarpus). Also some Hyacinth vine beans which are an annual. I do have 3 more trays.

Don't think my husband was to please to find where I had put the indoor nursery. So he found 3 grow lights for me....Now I am good to go.

Oh, in case you are wondering what that 'Liv' thing is, well it's the battery pack for my
e-bike. It's all charged and ready for me to that it out for the first ride of 2020 on Sunday!

My first tumble with 'Violet'....

From the pic it really isn't too bad. Just a nice road rash.
A couple of scrapes and a few bruises but its all good!

But ice cream in the Bentonville Square with friends makes it all better!

Today's ride was a little over 11 miles. A beautiful day to be out~

January 30-Feb 9 , 2015

After leaving sunny Northern California, its starting to look like winter landing at the Denver Colorado airport.

If you have been keeping up with the past 5 and half weeks you know I am now heading home, to the Ozark Mountains in Northwest Arkansas. With one daughter just having a baby I have the other one in the hospital in Atlanta Georgia area. My eldest daughter, the one that spent 3 weeks me back in the fall is having a kidney removed. Never has a mother wanted to be at two places at one time. This women has been through a life time of suffering.  The past year she had 17 surgery's to remove stones in the GOOD kidney! After her visit and much need R&R she was 'ready' to face this major surgury...well as ready as one could be. The 'bad' kidney was so riddle with stones that is was now a large mass and working at only 10%. She has been home now and the recovery has been slow. Keep her in your thoughts, please.

February 1st: My birthday and Super Bowl Sunday!

Feb 7th and now it's time to get back on 'Violet' and join the ladies on a bike ride!

Here we are visit by the 2 cuties Yorkies. They only wanted to be sure we were having fun!

Feb 9th: Taking advantage of the nice weather while we can. On a fun 5 mile hike~

December 2014 has come and gone

This was December 4th. Weather was warmer then it had been...you can see how the layers of clothing are starting to come off...*smile*

It's always a great day for a hike! This was at a new trail, Historical Van Winkle Trail.

December 11th....someone carved out a little seat for me...lol

Look what Santa got me!!! A bike AND a new SUV!! Getting 'Violet' all read to go on the new bike rack and of course Olli is all excite to join us too!

What a great time with these fun ladies. This was a 15 mile ride around the area with less hills but a great work out none the less.

Here we are the next day,,,

See the little yellow tag? This was what we had to 'follow' the path.
Always a piece of mind when I saw it....

This was an awesome view below me...beautiful weather.            Sunny and warm, for mid-December~

Catching up...

...its been a while since I have last posted. I do this for my sister in case she should happen to wonder what I'm up too! Well, this is me.
Doing what I love best. To take pictures while I'm out on the water with Rosie and posting to Facebook!! lol

Now this was a magical day! The water was still warm but it was on the cool side with mist.
Yes, we are nuts but that is what made it so much fun! What a morning!

Here is another favorite pass time while sitting in my favorite spot in the house..at the kitchen table taking in all the beauty and these guys...I shall miss them when they travel on.

I have also stepped out of my comfort zone and here we are...
...my 'walking buddy' and I getting ready for a bike ride around Bella Vista Lake. It turned out to be an 11 mile ride over to the next town. Even had a wonderful lunch at Crape Pautette's and across the street went to, 21c
A really nice hotel and museum with awesome art. Then turned around and headed back and thank goodness it was mostly downhill! Gotta love the Ozark Mountains.

Yes, I have been tatting and quilting...one stitch at a time! *smile*
