This is so fun....

This is from the book I told you about in my last post.
I started practicing the stitches, then adding it to a note book.
This is BEFORE I decided it was a 'must have book'.

Another thing to 'add' to my quilt tops...*smile*

Today Is....

International Tatting Day...

In honor of I.T.D... and since I have NO chocolate in the house....I ordered myself a new book. 'Tatting Artistry in Thread'. By Helma Siepmann. One of my tatting instructors loaned it to me last night...oh my...what a book! I have hers until group next Tuesday...wouldn't be great if MY book came in by then!?!?!?!

I am soooo excited....

Hobby Lobby stores in our area now sells Lizbeth thread! Size 20. OMG....how exciting is that! Well, at least for me it is. They have only one color of the colors they do have...hey, its a start. And lets not forget about the weekly discount coupon that may apply.

Also, last week I ordered a new book too...it is a wonderful, wonderful book. It truly is a 'walk threw someones past'....

Wow....I love it!

This past Tuesday, I went to my tatting group. Since I had missed the Christmas get-together, I was given a couple of gifts. WOW...one was a patch work puzzle, (thank you Mary Jo), a tatted angel (thank you Linda) and my first taste of Flora size 20 thread!! It also included a tatting shuttle and this booklet.

Also, they were two delicious pieces of choclate...note...I said were...lol They were soooo good! (thank you Marie)!

So, I got busy and with my new shuttle and thread I made this bookmark. I love this thread! My first time using it and I am hooked. Next I will work on the patterns from the booklet and make earrings...how fun is this.
