Western Medowlark on Sunflower

Now that that is done, I started on a quilt I have always admired. State bird and flower embroidery quilt. I first saw this quilt done by my mother-in-law. She made it in the 1950's.
My daughter had the patterns, and is sharing with me. So now, I will make my own quilt!
Yep, there are 50 blocks. I started yesterday with the Kansas bird (western meadowlark) and the sun flower...since Austin is from Kansas he thought that would be the way to go.
If I can do one a week...should take me about a year!

Nancy, you are amazing!!! I love the guest bedroom. May I come stay??? It looks as cute as any Bed & Breakfast in which we've stayed.

Your quilts keep getting more and more beautiful, if that is possible.

And of course, Skye loves seeing her very own self on your page!

Love,
Sandy (who admires your talent)
