A Honda Gold Wing...time to ride!

I love being a 'backseat' rider! We had a smaller bike for a short while, but after the first 300 plus mile ride we knew we  needed to do something different. So we went from a Honda Shadow 1100 cc to a Honda Gold Wing 1800 cc. This one has all the bells and whistles, I love the rear seat. A nice captains style. I say its better then a tractor seat! *smile* Arm rest and cup holder. The helmets have a mike and speakers so we can chat with one another. A nice little feature to have.

Todays ride took us towards Oklahoma then back around to Arkansas.

These are the Boston Mountains in the distance.

I love the Ozark Mountains....so much to see and do! Life is good. *smile*

This morning in the awesome 64 degree weather was a nice 5 mile walk.

We always take a different route on Saturdays...just to do something different.
Today was one of the 7 golf courses we have in the town of Bella Vista.

Dew was still one the ground.

Came home, jumped on my bicycle and did a short 3 mile ride. I went down a side road I haven't taken yet. I should have known it wasn't going to be good when it was almost all down hill! Holy hell. It was one heck of a work out coming back up. I love my life. It's all good.

Oh, I'm so happy for you. My last bike was a 1986 Shadow and in in 2003 I replaced it with a new 1800 yellow Wing. In 06 my health caused me to have to give up riding my Wing, but we sold my husband's 1500 and he now drives OUR yellow 1800 and I still get to ride as a passenger. Life is good.
You're amazing. A 5 mile hike, bicycle ride, and Wing. What a fun day!

Karen! Thank you for your wonderful comment. So nice to hear that you and your husband still ride. My DH had one when we first started dating but when we were relocated via work to KC,MO. he sold it to his brother. KC drives were not KIND to riders. So now, all these years later he is one happy fellow! I hope you don't mind, but I'd
like to copy your term 'WING'. How fitting!

Yes, yes. WING is a word that brings good feelings. Long ago I wore out my Tshirt that said "Hairdo by Honda" in gold, but I'm sure you can still find them somewhere. Enjoy. I know you will because one can't help but enjoy life when they're on a bike - especially a Wing.
Keep the shiney side up, Karen
