Happy 4th of July!

                                    Freedom's Colors ©2002 Roger W Hancock
Red is for the Bravery: blood shed in sacrifice. Freedom came with lives the price.

White is for Liberty; freedom's purity. Life be free from God's degree.

Blue is for the Justice; as vast as the sky. Over freedom's land to occupy.

This pattern is from The Workbasket, November 1976 also found in the
May 1991 issue. No mention of who the designer is.
I shuttled tatted with Lizbeth size 20 thread and the flag measures 8.5 inches X 12.5 inches. Polymer clay
was used for the stars. It took me about 120 hours to tat with love in every stitch!

Happy 4th!!I recognized this flag from your Memorial Day post last year! It still boggles my mind!

I searched for the Nov 1976 Work Basket on the web and found a copy for sale. It was interesting to me that the Tatsy shuttle was advertised I that issue. I didn't know about the Tatsy until 1989! (I only use it for my demos.)

I like your idea for the stars, arranged like the flag called the Betsy Ross. It's interesting to read about the different early
versions of the flag, but this one stands out!
