Tatted booties

This pattern is from Mary Konior's book, A Pattern Book of Tatting. I omitted the 2nd round, making it to fit the premie that its for. I am working on the quilt that will go with these precious little 'Goodie Two Shoes'.

Hi Nancy - Merry Christmas!

These booties are adorable! That pattern must be in one of Mary's books that I don't have. I did a single bootie from Rebecca Jones' book 20 years ago, but the instructions were not quite up to par, and it looked more like a ballet slipper, which I now only have a photo of, as I gave that one away! It did give me experience tatting in 3-D, though, and started me on that journey, including designing the lady's slipper.

I certainly appreciate your interest in my blog and my slipper pattern. I've been frustrated that I haven't been able to concentrate on the pattern due to circumstances in our lives - a lot of distractions - and a lack of computer software skills necessary to do the pattern in a professional way. I'm hoping this winter to finally become proficient with the drawing software and get it completed! I certainly haven't forgotten about it!! Thanks again for your interest!

Hope you're having a nice holiday with your family!

I saw these booties on another blog last week and I remembered that I had this pattern, and I have dug it out and I am going to make a pair for my craft table.
I love the way you have done your booties and with the gold ribbon, they are lovely.
This is the first time I have visited your blog and it looks really interesting and lovely. I will be back again

Oh, Nancy, I'd like a pair just to have around to look at. They are "that" beautiful! You are so talented. I pray that the ladies who do this know what an incredibly lovely and lost art this is.
