I so wanted the Mary Konior's book Tatting in Lace. But wow...just not in my budget! So, I borrowed the book threw Interlibrary Loan. I found that the book was at the Independence, Mo. library. I went to my local library, filled out a form AND 3 weeks later I HAD THE BOOK! It came to my home town library and I had the book for 3 wonderful weeks! But, all good things must come to and end. I have been blessed
to have had the chance to view the book. Now, its time to share with someone else!

Keep an eye out - does your library have sales of retired books? Because that copy looks rather battered, and if not many people are borrowing it, it may be withdrawn from circulation. That's how I managed to buy a copy of the Dutch Needle tatting book, years ago!
I was lucky to have the book on 'loan' through the generosity of fellow tatter Matha Ess. I learned a few new techniques from patterns in that book. There are some wonderful patterns in there.
I feel really lucky that I brought this book when it was published, At the time it was expensive but oh boy I am glad I brought it then as like you say its now out of most peoples reach.

So now, living in Independence Mo, myself, I need to fill out a form to get it back? ;) Looks like it was worth the wait!
I do have this one now, but still like the one you can buy today that is a new one and much less expensive. It's the last time I will pay such a high price for a book...She was however, a very, very good tatter...!!!
