This silly pup....

I threw her ball and this is where it landed. She's whining because its 'stuck'.

I so enjoy the humming birds. They are eating more. Preparing for the long journey ahead.

Last Sunday at Devil's Den State Park, the Yellow Rock Trail. It was raining, but we didn't get too wet.

You can see the mist in the air here. Soon the leaves will be changing! *smile*

Then we went on to Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park.

This week end is all about 16th Annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ. Its a big Motorcycle Rally in Fayetteville Arkansas.
Our first year to attend some of the activities. During the day....when things are LESS rowdy!

Bikes!

                                                                 Bikes!
                                                      And more BIKES!!

Yes, even able to find jackets...

...and pen's to start our collection.  *smile*

Tuesday is Kayaking...

...with the Bella Vista Paddle Club. About 9 of us out on a wonderful evening. This is one of 7 lakes in our town. It has been raining off and on all week. Did get a few dry times to play.

We are so fortunate to have this awesome bike trail. Razorback Greenway is a 36-mile, primarily off-road, shared-use trail that extends from the Bella Vista Lake to south Fayetteville, Arkansas.  The trail links together dozens of popular community destinations. Which includes:
  • 6 downtowns
  • 3 hospitals
  • 23 schools
  • The University of Arkansas campus
  • Corporate headquarters of Walmart, JB Hunt Transport Services and Tyson Foods
  • Arts and entertainment venues
  • Historic sites
  • Parks and Playgrounds
  • Residential communities
  • Shopping areas

Here we are in a busy area, but we all feel very safe riding and cars are very cautious of us. Here we will hang a right to reconnect with the bike path.

Last week I took a pic of the  Cross Church from a distance. Well this bike ride to us even beyond, a 23 mile ride. See the bike path below, in front of the crosses.

Here is one of your ladies testing out a bike seat. We are having too much fun!

The 5 of us all got stickers from the Cycle Track Police Officer. We are now official in the city of Rogers! LOL

And I leave you with Zoe, who was waiting for me to get back home from my bicycle ride.  So darn cute.

Here is Mr. Bluebird sitting on a terra cotta plate eating mealworms I just put out.

Zoe with her 'cloth' and rope. Silly girl.

By adding meal worms to their diets...

...I have a variety of birds near the window!
This is Northern Flicker. He's about 12.5 inches long.

This is Zoe. She enjoys the warmth and her balls....

...while Sophie loves the outdoors and snow! By time I took the pic most of the snow had melted or fallen on the floor. Silly girl. This may be the last snowfall. Temperatures should be up by this week-end. Time to hit the dusty tails either by bike or hike. I'm ready!

Almost time to go home...bittersweet.

Jan. 24, 2015. Four days old... She is so in love, well it looks like they both are. Penelope was so worth the wait.
I did this quilt and it needed a home. So it's for Miss Penelope. I love the retro fabric of the ducks...so did the 'baby momma'!

Fun in the sun...until next time!  *smile*

Jan 30, 2015: Saying my good byes...

Knowing that these young parents are sound and doing so well, Ondrea doing fantastic after her giving birth by cesarean section its time for me to return home. What a wonderful 5 and half weeks this has been. We laugh, cried, ate, and played. We spent Christmas, both Andrew's and Ondrea's birthdays, New Years day and the birth of this beautiful child together. I also had the opportunity to meet both of Andrews parents for the first time. I see now where Andrew gets his 'genes' from!

And....here is what I have waiting for me at home:

Sophie

and Zoe.

It's all good. *smile*

New Back Yard Fence...

,,,,better then a dog park for the pups!

What you are seeing is TONS of River Rocks. But the pups were happy playing 'Queen of the Hill'. That was spread on the sides and underneath where DH's new work shed will be. We already have a River Rock front yard. Now, that is a 'New to Me'.
Getting things unpacked...one box at a time. A place for everything, everything in its place.

The pups got new kennel covers too!
Dh's PC area should be clear soon...One day at a time! *smile*

A week, 2 Yorkie's and an RV....

Dh and I did not have a vacation last year, due to his work. Plus we thought for a while we may be relocating to Tennessee. So last week we took a much needed mini vaca! His mother was celebrating her 80th birthday, so off to Wichita, Kansas for a couple of days. That is when I gave my sister-in-law her grandmother's small quilt. On our way to Branson, Missouri we had wind. Typical for Kansas.
Long story short, the 14 foot awing was torn off by the wind. Hitting 3 cars behind us and thank goodness only damage to one!! Poor ladies! I know they their hearts were in their throats seeing this big white thing coming there way!!! But all is well. The sheriff that was following us (red lights and sirens for miles before he was able to stopping us) was awesome. Now...on to our journey.
Branson, Missouri.

I had always stayed in North Branson. I like the peace and quiet of the area and near Silver Dollar City! Not to mention my favorite, BillyGail's Cafe.

But Dh likes the 'strip'. It was different. Because it was right before school break for the summer and right before the 3 day week-end it was fantastic!! Traffic was light. A true blessing...lol
The RV park was awesome. Tucked away in trees. The pups and I got a great work-out. Up and down the hillside for their walks.

Oh how they loved bird watching! We did see a Bluebird! Made my week. We saw shows: Six (please stop and listen to song) and also visited  Titanic museum where DH bought me my 19th Monopoly! Finally, after all these years I got to go to the Dixie Stampeded. Pre-show was great, so was the dinner and show. Great times! Thanks DH! It did rain one day. But it was perfect. A day to rest, relax and just enjoy 'being'. The sound on the roof top was perfect. But, all good things must come to and end...time to 'hitch up' and go home. The girls are great travelers.

Here they are, on my lap. Keeping me calm!
Here was my view, from the rear view mirror!
It's so good to be home!
